The issue with Apple watch models has been identified by the Apple users, which was responsible for the cracking of the screens. The company has now decided to launch a replacement program for the users whose watch was affected. On all the eligible models of Apple watches, the screen shall be replaced without any charge by the authorized service providers of the company.
Apple on its official website has said that in very rarest of the circumstances, a formation of crack might take place in some of the aluminum models of Apple Watch Series 2 or 3. The crack is expected to begin at one of the edges and then spread throughout the screen of the watch.
This offer of replacing the screens free of cost applied only to aluminum series 2 and 3, which also includes the Nike+ models and other cellular variants as well. The original series 0, series 1, and series 4 are not covered under the offer of replacement. Also, series 3 which have been purchased throughout September 2019, do not count. This possibly means that the company has fixed the necessary glitches that were prevailing or is thinking to cease the sale of the Series 3 model completely.
