PORTLAND, Ore. – Another person has died from coronavirus in Oregon, health officials said, bringing the state’s death toll to 27 people.
The Oregon Health Authority also identified 69 more people who tested positive for coronavirus. As of 8 a.m. Sunday, there were 1,068 cases statewide.
The latest Oregonian to die of coronavirus was a 62-year-old woman in Multnomah County. She reportedly tested positive for the virus on April 2 and died at her home later that day.
No immediate word on whether she had any underlying health conditions, the OHA says.
According to the state, 258 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19 in Oregon. The OHA has not released the latest information on how many hospital beds and ventilators are available.
In Washington state, officials say they’ve had 334 deaths and the total number of confirmed cases statewide was on track to reach about 8,000.
